Information:
Thinking Skills: Understanding, Interpreting, Analysing, Comparing, Identifying, Designing, Synthesising, Assessing, Selecting; Judging Multiple Intelligences: Spatial; Verbal/Linguistic |
| Instructions:
1. Study these doctrines or teachings of early China - Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism and Legalism. You may want to break up into pairs to cover each one. You will be reporting back to the rest of the team at the end. 2. Identify 3 main components of each of these doctrines. 3. Design a visual representation of each doctrine which demonstrates these components. Simple symbols would be useful and effective. Imagine these images have been carved into stone or drawn on parchment. Make your 'poster' look somewhat ancient. 4. Write the identified components on the back of your poster. 5. If you have worked in pairs within your group - share your new understandings with the other pairs. 6. Now that
you understand these different doctrines, how would they affect how a person
acts? People will react in different ways and have different points
of view depending on their belief system. How would people from each
of these doctrines act in these same situations? Organise your information
into a matrix as shown below.
7. Prepare your sharing session where you will explain these four doctrines to the rest of your team using your posters and situation matrix. |
